Virtual Class
CRN12592 DAR122 is presented as a fully
online class. We will not be meeting in person and you will be performing your
work at home or in one of the computer labs on the West campus. We will have regularly
scheduled Zoom classes on Tuesdays at 12:45-3:00PM beginning August 24 and ending December 14. You will receive an
invitation on D2L. The link to the meetings will be posted here on the on the
DAR122 Blog. The online lecture is 2 hours and 15 minutes. It is required to
perform additional work independently between meeting times.
Classes are recorded so that you can review them at any time but you are required to attend the live online class unless you notify the instructor that you will not be attending.
Classes are recorded and posted for further review. Please pay close attention to submission deadlines and
specifications and check the blog frequently for updates. All of the
information you need is in the textbook or on the DAR122 Drive. You may e-mail at any

Project 1 Tee Shirt- Due Tuesday, September 14
Design a novelty tee shirt. The shirt must have a graphic integrated with text. Draw at least ten thumbnails to generate ideas. Scan one of the ideas. Create the design in illustrator. Do not use placed images or live tracing. Use one of the tee shirt templates to envision how the shirt will look when it is printed. Submit the design and the design on the shirt template as separate AI files.
Optional:
Submit the design to a vendor. Here are two local vendors:
http://tucsonprintedshirts.com/ and http://www.bigfrog.com/tucson/ and have the tee shirt printed. There are also many online vendors. You can also print to transfer film and iron-on to fabric.
